About the Role
CAMHS Professionals is recruiting for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join a mental health service in North London. Our client is seeking an experienced therapist to manage a caseload of patients with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives while working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements
* HCPC registration (current and valid)
* Previous mental health experience
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
* Manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health needs using evidence-based, patient-centered approaches
* Conduct comprehensive assessments using specialist tools including MOHO assessments
* Plan and deliver individual and group therapy interventions
* Consider both physical and mental health needs in all assessments
* Promote social inclusion, recovery, and relapse prevention
Team Collaboration
* Work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team
* Participate in care planning and clinical decision-making
* Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and partner agencies
* Provide education and training to patients, carers, and staff
Service Development
* Contribute to service planning, development, and evaluation
* Participate in audit projects and research activities
* Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance
* Engage in reflective practice and promote best practice standards
Professional Standards
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional standards
* Prepare specialist reports and risk assessments
* Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed
* Comply with COT Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct

About You
You'll be a registered Occupational Therapist with demonstrated experience in mental health settings. You'll have strong clinical reasoning skills, the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
You'll be comfortable managing complex cases, conducting risk assessments, and promoting equality and diversity in all aspects of service delivery.
