Responsibilities
1. Supplier Quality Management
2. Lead and manage supplier quality activities to ensure compliance with purchase orders, contracts, and applicable standards.
3. Maintain oversight of supplier approvals and ensure certifications remain current.
4. Review, challenge, and approve new supplier capability requests and accreditations.
5. Nonconformance & Corrective Action
6. Control and manage supplier nonconforming materials.
7. Conduct root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
8. Monitor and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures against defined reliability and compliance standards.
9. Quality Systems & Compliance
10. Develop, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems for materials and product processing.
11. Prepare, maintain, and review procurement quality assurance procedures.
12. Ensure documentation complies with customer and/or government requirements.
13. Auditing & Supplier Oversight
14. Perform source inspections and validation activities.
15. Conduct audits of third-party manufacturers, special processes, and sub-tier suppliers.
16. Participate in vendor selection and due diligence processes.
17. Maintain effective feedback loops with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
18. Cross-Functional Collaboration
19. Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and communicated to suppliers.
20. Translate technical and quality requirements into measurable supplier standards.
Required skills, qualifications and experience :
21. Previous experience in a supplier quality engineering role or similar industry environment preferred.
22. Suitable for a Quality Engineer or Quality Inspector seeking progression into supplier quality engineering.
23. Experience working in a regulated or high-pressure environment.
24. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
25. SAP experience managing quality notifications desirable but not essential.
26. Lean and/or Six Sigma certification advantageous.
