About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join NFU Mutual’s Pricing Department, where you’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team helping us deliver fair and competitive pricing to our customers. Depending on your skills and experience, you’ll join as either a Pricing Analyst or Lead Pricing Analyst, taking on responsibilities suited to your level.
At Analyst level, you’ll focus on extracting, cleaning, and analysing data, building and refining pricing models, and carrying out quality checks to support decision-making and regulatory requirements. You’ll have the chance to work on a broad range of projects, with structured development, regular reviews, and tailored training to help you grow your career.
At Lead level, you’ll act as a technical role model, applying advanced pricing techniques and industry knowledge to drive department initiatives, identify performance trends, and shape solutions. Alongside your own analysis, you’ll also play a key role in coaching and mentoring colleagues, supporting their development and strengthening the technical capability of the wider team.
Whichever level you join at, you’ll enjoy variety, collaboration, and the opportunity to make a real impact in shaping our pricing strategy.
About you
We’re looking for people with a strong analytical background, curiosity, and drive. You’ll have experience with SQL or another coding language and confidence working with large datasets. An understanding of data quality and previous exposure to data analysis are important, while experience with modelling tools such as Emblem would be an advantage.
At Analyst level, we welcome those who are keen to develop their skills further — you don’t need to be the finished article, but you’ll bring enthusiasm, motivation, and a willingness to learn.
At Lead level, you’ll have recent experience in general insurance pricing, with advanced technical expertise and the confidence to take ownership of projects, influence decisions, and support others through coaching and mentoring.
Across both levels, you’ll bring an analytical mindset combined with commercial awareness, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical ideas in a clear and engaging way. We value curiosity, tenacity, and the drive to deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers.
At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique. We celebrate the creativity and innovation that comes from diverse perspectives and experiences and share a common vision of doing the right thing for our customers and employees.
We recognise that some candidates may experience barriers during the recruitment process. So, we encourage candidates to discuss any adjustments or accommodations they need to be the best they can be throughout our recruitment process.
We're proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, a Race at Work and Women in Finance Charter signatory and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability, neurodiversity, gender, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
