SQL Developer - Manchester
My client is a growing SaaS company focused on delivering innovative solutions with a strong emphasis on people and product. Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and evolve the SQL Server estate, including performance tuning and optimisation
* Write, review and improve complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures
* Support cross-functional teams with their data requirements
* Troubleshoot slow-running queries and address performance bottlenecks
* Respond to and resolve support tickets ranging from basic updates to complex data merges
* Monitor database performance and proactively identify improvements
* Contribute to the development of data integrity processes and automation tools
Skills and Experience
* 3+ years’ experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar data-focused role
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, and query optimisation
* Experience with Azure SQL and related services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics is a plus)
* Strong understanding of data security and governance best practices
* Experience with SSRS, Power BI, or similar tools is advantageous
* Comfortable working in Agile, cross-functional teams
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
* Previous experience in a SaaS environment is beneficial
