Responsibilities
* Establish REVIT capability within the existing design team.
* Develop REVIT templates and families as lead engineer.
* Support the technician team in developing their REVIT skills.
* Review and negotiate project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) to ensure contractual compliance.
* Lead structural and geotechnical design for key projects, including planning, delivery, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Set design strategies for structures and foundations, delivering integrated solutions.
* Optimize designs for construction, sustainability, and health and safety.
* Ensure the quality and completeness of deliverables.
* Support the development of technical and digital capabilities, including sustainability.
* Promote knowledge sharing across the business to foster continuous improvement.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* BEng (Hons) degree in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering.
* CITB Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card.
Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years relevant postgraduate experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Engineering Understanding:
* Knowledge of basic design tools and methods.
* Understanding of engineering principles, physics, and statics.
* Knowledge of actions and load paths.
* Familiarity with Eurocodes, statutory legislation, and industry guidance.
* Knowledge of design in steel, concrete, and timber.
* Familiarity with proprietary solutions and suppliers.
* Understanding temporary works methods and solutions.
* Ability to read engineering drawings and documentation.
Management & Leadership:
* Ability to plan and organize work and resources.
* Manage project execution and adapt to changes.
Commercial Skills:
* Manage costs and budgets.
* Understand commercial frameworks and contractual issues.
