We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a Technical Officer, on a 12- month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £18.24-£24.17/Hour Responsibilities: Manage all technical aspects of housing grants/loans processes from enquiry to completion. Conduct home visits to assess adaptation needs and provide tailored advice and technical solutions. Prepare detailed specifications, plans, and costings in accordance with regulations and standards (e.g. Housing Health and Safety Rating System, Decent Homes Standard, Disabled Facilities Grant). Monitor contractor performance, inspect works, and ensure compliance with contracts and quality standards. Liaise with clients, Occupational Therapists, and other stakeholders to ensure needs are fully addressed. Qualifications: A relevant technical qualification in building, surveying, construction, or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent). Experience: Experience in building surveying, property maintenance, or delivering housing adaptations. Experience producing technical drawings, specifications, and costings.
