Role overview

Location: Newcastle - occasional travel *must hold a valid UK driving licence*

Salary: £53,000 per annum + Overtime

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 am to 16:30 pm

Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time

About the role

What you'll do:

1. Lead and deliver extra works and minor projects across the Siemens Energy UK portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, and profitable outcomes.

2. Collaborate with clients to define specifications, manage quotations, and secure approvals.

3. Oversee budgets, appoint contractors, and drive projects from design to handover.

4. Ensure all works meet EMCOR UK’s standards, CDM regulations, and health and safety protocols.

5. Coordinate procurement, resource planning, and out-of-hours work with FM teams.

6. Maintain accurate records, uphold quality control, and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.

7. Champion operational excellence through site inspections, RAMS compliance, and continuous improvement.

Who you'll be:

8. Proven and extensive experience within a similar role
9. Operational and technical experience with demonstrated potential
10. Technical expertise, qualifications or apprenticeship in a craft skill or engineering discipline would be an important pre-requisite of the role
11. Proven experience in extra works Management
12. Ability to plan and organise their work effectively to meet changing environments and needs
13. Proven track record to the successful delivery of multitask building services related extra works
14. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices
15. Experience in large industrial sites, specifically relating to energy management and de-carbonisation works would be an advantage
16. Hold sufficient Health and Safety (CDM) experience that allows the effective running of extra works.
17. Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and general P&L management (with commercial / finance support)
18. Proven experience in developing minor works scopes of work, estimating project costs and project management delivery.
19. A solid working knowledge of structures and assets such as – Plumbing, electricals, HVAC, building fabric as well as legislation such as Building Regs
20. Relevant electrical qualifications and experience
