Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in their learning, both individually and in small groups. You will help create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities
- Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
- Help maintain positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement
- Supervise pupils during activities, break times, or school trips when needed
Requirements
- A positive, patient, and caring attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience working with children is desirable (but not essential)
- A willingness to support pupils of varying abilities
- Relevant TA qualification or willingness to work towards one is an advantage
