IT Systems Engineer / SaaS & Identity Engineer (Contract) – Inside IR35

Overview
We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer (generalist) to support and enhance their internal tooling stack. This is a contract role providing additional capacity/cover while permanent hiring is ongoing.
This role is less about being a deep specialist in one platform and more about being a capable engineer across multiple core systems, able to jump into BAU + project work.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and support key internal platforms, primarily:
* Okta
* Google Workspace
* Atlassian suite / Jira (including Jira Service Management)
* Support internal tooling requests and operational needs (access, provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting).
* Provide support on Atlassian/Jira Service Management tasks (e.g., helping build/configure queues, supporting migrations, basic admin/config work).
* Work within a controlled/high-audit environment: follow change processes, document changes, support audit evidence where needed.
Essential Skills / Experience
* Solid experience as a Systems Engineer / IT Systems Engineer in SaaS-heavy environments.
* Hands-on capability in Okta + Google Workspace.
* Practical familiarity with Jira / Atlassian, ideally Jira Service Management fundamentals (queues, workflows, service project setup/support).
* Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments with a mix of BAU + project delivery.
Nice to Have
* Fintech/payments or similarly regulated environment experience.
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks / audit controls (SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / PCI).
