Reporting to the Contracts Manager (Plumbing), this role will involve carrying out plumbing installations and maintenance across a range of commercial, hospitality and retail properties. Day-to day activity will involve completing plumbing works including pipework, drainage systems and installing sanitaryware. Your key focus throughout will be to provide the very best level of service including liaising with clients directly and with your line manager.
Projects will be spread across the UK and therefore travel, and over-night stays will be a requirement of the role.
The Role
In the course of carrying out this role the post holder will:
* Perform installation, maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances in commercial, and industrial settings.
* Interpret and follow technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Cut, thread, and connect pipes using various joining methods ensuring watertight seals and proper alignment.
* Install and repair fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets etc ensuring proper functionality and alignment with plumbing systems.
* Install, maintain, and repair water supply systems including pumps, water heaters, and water filtration systems, ensuring consistent water pressure and quality.
* Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and standards.
* Execute both planned quoted works and reactive maintenance projects.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
* Carry out all activities in line with our company values.
* Build strong and positive relationships with fellow employees, customers and suppliers.
* Work alone at times but also as a team depending on the task.
The Candidate
To be successful in this role the post holder will be able to demonstrate:
* 5 years minimum experience in plumbing.
* Qualified with an appropriate NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
* A well-developed technical understanding of plumbing systems.
* A flexible attitude to work with strong problem solving skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Attention to detail encompassing the ability to carry out all works to the highest of standards.
* A flexible approach with a strong work ethic.
* Full UK Driving Licence
