Overview
The Change Delivery team provides a critical role. Your task will be to develop and deliver projects across various technologies in a complex environment with unique challenges, enabling two large police forces to meet the demands of today and tomorrow. You will own end‑to‑end delivery and manage the dependent relationships and interactions between the ICT department, senior management and external stakeholders regarding significant activities impacting and involving ICT.
Responsibilities
* Lead the full lifecycle of complex ICT projects, demonstrating influence and persuasion rather than direct line management.
* Collaborate within a close, interdependent delivery team and the wider ICT team in a customer‑focused environment.
* Maintain flexibility, adaptability, and systematic problem‑solving with minimal supervision.
* Coach and mentor junior team members; act as assignment manager for these members.
* Deliver business and ICT change using industry‑recognised approaches such as Prince2 and/or Agile.
* Travel to different locations when required.
Qualifications
* Strong experience delivering innovative and complex ICT projects with significant outcomes.
* Proven track record of working in a customer‑focused environment and within interdependent delivery teams.
* Capability to solve problems systematically with little direct supervision.
* Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members and managing their assignments.
* Familiarity with Prince2 or Agile methodologies.
* Willingness and ability to travel.
Eligibility Criteria
If you have not held residency in the UK for the last five years, we will not be able to process an application from you.
If you are a Thames Valley Police employee and have been in your current post for less than 12 months, you must seek approval from your line manager to be eligible to apply for this role.
