As a Team Leader you will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for young people aged 16-24. You will be led and supported by a registered manager, working alongside other professionals to deliver therapeutic care and support tailored to each individual.
About this role.
To act as a responsible key worker and provide high quality support to young people based upon their needs and wishes using a person-centred approach.
* To act as a key worker for individual young people.
* To take the lead in dealing with emergency or complex situations that may arise.
* To support Young people in undertaking activities or development in their own home and in the community, including employment, education, and other opportunities.
* To maintain records keeping and documentation.
* To assist with the drawing up of risk assessments.
* To liaise with external parties, carers and parents as required.
* To be responsible for the supervision of other Support Workers as required.
* Take responsibility for the effective and efficient running of shifts.
* A good understanding of CQC - Kloe's
* Competency in DOLS
* Administer medication and complete clinic room checks. Will be trained to be able to do this.
* To carry out regular checks at the homes during shifts to directly supervise staff and ensure the homes safety and quality of care is maintained to a high standard.
Qualifications and Experience.
* Experience working in a similar setting in a Children's Residential Home for 2 years is essential.
