An exciting opportunity within East Staffordshire Borough Council's regeneration and enterprise team. Ideal for those new to regeneration, offering a chance to develop experience and skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Support the Town Regeneration Officers and the Enterprise Officer in delivering the regeneration scheme in Burton upon Trent and the planned scheme in Uttoxeter.
* Provide practical and intellectual support, including producing documentation.
* Act as the main link with local businesses across the borough, especially SMEs.
* Manage the popular business grants scheme and maintain records of applications.
* Promote local services and support to businesses.
* Plan and deliver a number of business engagement events throughout the year.
* Assist in the delivery of physical regeneration projects.
* Maintain budget oversight and organise paperwork for the grant application process.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven self‑starter with strong networking and engagement skills.
* Experience or willingness to develop knowledge of regeneration processes.
* Proficiency with record‑keeping, budget overview, and paperwork management.
* Ability to work collaboratively with council officers and local councillors.

The appointment is for a permanent, full‑time contract of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
