James Ray Recruitment are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administrative Assistant to join a busy school office based at a local school in the Wirral area.
Previous experience working in a school office environment is preferred, as the successful candidate will be expected to confidently manage a range of administrative responsibilities from day one.
This position is offered on a full-time basis to commence from October 2025 ongoing with a potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Managing reception duties and handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries
* Monitoring and recording pupil attendance
* General office administration and support
* Maintaining and updating school databases
Qualifications / Skills
* Strong communication and IT skills, the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, and a positive, proactive approach to working in a school setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated, organised, efficient and initiative
* Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
* Good IT skills across a variety of platforms
* Experience of working in an office environment
* Commitment to professional development
* Champion the ethos and vision of the school at all times
