Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care while adhering to care plans and fostering a positive environment for our clients.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
* Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that each client's individual needs are met.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting their mental well-being.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
* Perform basic IT tasks related to documentation and communication within the care setting.
* Escort clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
* Proficient in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
