Specialist in placing qualified finance & accounting professionals into interim and contract roles.
Responsibilities
* Partner with operational, commercial, and supply chain teams to provide financial insight, challenge, and support in decision-making.
* Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for your business unit, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
* Deliver timely and insightful management reporting, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs.
* Analyse manufacturing cost drivers, production efficiency, and margin performance, recommending actions to improve profitability.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support investment appraisals, capital expenditure proposals, and strategic projects.
* Act as a key liaison between Finance and non-Finance teams, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
* Monitor and control working capital, inventory management, and cost structures to optimise cash flow and operational efficiency.
* Support compliance with reporting requirements, governance standards, and internal controls.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, reporting, and business performance.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience in a Finance Business Partner, FP&A, or Commercial Finance role.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge and support at all levels of the business.
* Strong knowledge of cost accounting, product costing, and margin analysis in a manufacturing context.
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Oracle) preferred.
* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced PLC environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
