Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with a great structural engineering consultancy to recruit a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer for its Chorley site.

* Perform structural engineering work, including design, site work, and report writing
* Deliver conforming to relevant Codes of Practice, Design Guides, and the Building Safety Act 2022
* Produce detailed structural calculations, sketches, drawings, and specifications.
* Prepare technical reports and project documentation, specifications and risk assessments.
* Carry out site visits to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
* Train and develop junior staff within the company in your areas of expertise
* Support the commercial aspects of projects, including cost estimates and budgeting.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Minimum three years' experience in structural design.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software.
* Strong understanding of Eurocode design for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.
* Experience in report writing and preparing structural calculations.
* Commercial awareness of project costs, budgets, and quotations.
* Chartership Status with CEng, ICE or IStructE
