SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2
Job description:
* Daily Rate: £14.63 p/hr
* Location: Darwen, BB3
* Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Reed/ Lancashire teaching agency are seeking 2xTeaching AssistantLevel 2 for a temporary position starting from September 2026 and is expected to last for the academic year!The role is required for 5 days per week from 08:45 – 15:15.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Main duties include working with a class with pupils diagnosed with ASD.
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
* Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
* Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
* Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
* Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
