Software Developer (Ivanti) – OFGEM – HEO

This 1‑year fixed term role focuses on the development and optimisation of the Ivanti platform within the Digital, Data and Security Services directorate.
Role
As a Software Developer, you will manage and enhance the Ivanti Service Manager platform, design and implement solutions and workflows, and support the delivery of digital services.
* Develop, configure and maintain Ivanti workflows and modules to support end‑to‑end business processes.
* Collaborate with delivery managers, service designers and stakeholders to shape the Ivanti roadmap.
* Translate business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions using Ivanti best practice tools.
* Provide technical support, troubleshooting and ensure platform stability and performance.
* Identify opportunities for innovation and automation within Ivanti.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Automation Lead and Product Manager to identify opportunities and shape the roadmap.
* Keep up to date with Ivanti developments and opportunities they may create for the department.
* Set and promote high standards of work.
* Build a supportive, transparent, and collaborative working environment.
* Provide support with administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support.
* Actively participate in Agile ceremonies.
Key Outputs and Deliverables
* Perform daily administration, troubleshooting and resolution of any issues arising within the Ivanti platform.
* Support the development of customisations, configurations and enhancements and the testing and release of these into production.
* Maintain development, test and live server environments.
* Develop and maintain dashboard and reporting features in response to business needs and to support performance monitoring and analysis.
* Develop the business‑facing portal to improve user experience and encourage engagement with self‑service features.
* Support the maintenance of OLA, service catalogue and CMDB functionality to ensure system components work together effectively.
Essential Criteria
* Experience administering Ivanti Neurons or Service Manager or any ITSM platform (lead criteria).
* Strong technical troubleshooting skills (lead criteria).
* Able to achieve and maintain SC clearance (lead criteria).
* Experience with modern coding and development standards, practices, and techniques with UCD focus.
* ITIL framework knowledge and an understanding of service management principles, including Continual Improvement.
* Ability to facilitate technical workshops and requirement discussions with stakeholders of varying level of seniority and technical skill.
* Understanding of information security, system design and support.
* ITIL 4 certification or equivalent experience.
Desirable Criteria
* Understanding of database and server technologies.
* Experience troubleshooting Microsoft IIS and associated protocols.
* Experience with APIs.
