We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting business units across the various brands within Resolve. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of month‑end close processes, while also supporting the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury functions. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key point of contact for accounting‑related support across the divisions.
What you’ll be doing:
* Lead month‑end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and expense accruals across the Resolve brands
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
* Coordinate inventory counts, investigate variances with stakeholders, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements
* Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed
* Prepare monthly financial analysis and provide explanations for variances between actual and budgeted results
* Support the corporate reporting team during compliance reviews and statutory audits
* Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting workflows through process improvements, automation, and technology initiatives
* Support business growth initiatives, including the integration and amalgamation of newly acquired businesses
* Assist with additional accounting and finance responsibilities as assigned
What you bring:
* Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CPA designation or progress toward CPA completion is considered an asset
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a general accounting role, including financial statement preparation and financial analysis
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
* Willingness and motivation to learn new processes, systems, and procedures
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Concur Expense and Invoice, and Microsoft Excel
* Experience with additional accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Sage 50, or NetSuite is considered an asset
