We are the drivers of change.#LI-HybridThis is the jobWe’re looking for a Software Asset & Cloud Consumption Manager to join our Technology Operations team at The AA. This is a key role focused on ensuring our software estate is effectively managed, cost-efficient, and compliant, while maximising value from our cloud and wider technology investments.Working closely with teams across Technology, Finance, Procurement, and external partners, you’ll provide clear insight into software usage and licensing, support strategic decision-making, and drive optimisation across the estate. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact as we continue to invest in and transform our technology landscape.What will I be doing?Managing and optimising the organisation’s software estate, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and minimising riskProviding accurate reporting and insights on software usage, licensing positions, and cloud consumption to support decision-makingLeading software asset management processes, including onboarding, governance, and continuous improvementPartnering with internal teams (Technology, Finance, Procurement, Security) and external suppliers to drive value and efficiencySupporting vendor negotiations, demand forecasting, and cost optimisation initiativesIdentifying opportunities to reduce waste, reharvest unused licences, and improve overall technology spendWhat do I need?Experience in software licensing and compliance, with the ability to navigate complex vendor agreements (e.g. Oracle, IBM) and mitigate riskHands-on experience with Software Asset Management and discovery tools such as Snow and/or ServiceNowProven ability to operate confidently in a complex, enterprise environment, applying sound judgement to prioritise and manage competing demandsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build relationships across technical and non-technical audiencesExperience working collaboratively with suppliers and software vendors, ensuring effective communication and value-driven outcomesDesirable:Broader knowledge of cloud consumption models and cost optimisation practicesFamiliarity with integrating SAM tools with wider IT or financial systemsA proactive, analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and optimisationAdditional informationWe’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do.
