The Job
They now wish to hire a Spanish speaking Transcreation Specialist to translate, proofread, edit and review a wide variety of video game and brand-related material (press releases, websites, social media, video subtitles) from English to Spanish, as well as helping to provide linguistic support to other brand- and marketing-related projects where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with the Transcreation and Editing teams to adapt videogame marketing material
2. Take responsibility for day-to-day tasks, developing functional experience across a range of videogame marketing products and task types
3. Translate, edit, review, and proof a variety of company-wide marketing materials, such as video scripts and subtitles, website copy, patch notes, LiveOps text, social media posts, Organised Play rulebooks and event information
4. Maintain close and consistent communication with other Transcreation Specialists and the Transcreation Management team, managing individual time and bandwidth alongside the teams’ to ensure across-the-board coverage for our wide range of day-to-day tasks
5. Ensure consistency in style and terminology
6. Adapt text information to suit the needs of various audiences.
7. Interact daily with other teams and departments on matters of terminology and style
8. Ensure consistency by applying a sound knowledge of the brand and internal guidelines, supporting new members of the team in gaining an equal level of knowledge.
Candidate Requirements
9. Native-level Spanish as well a fluent English
10. Professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise form a similar role
11. Experience in the video gaming industry is an advantage
12. Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
13. Ability to adapt to using specialised technical programs and workflows quickly.
14. Demonstrated ability to translate, edit, revise and/or rewrite text-based content in language of expertise.
15. Demonstrated attention to detail and proven experience handling multiple simultaneous projects, including publishing under regular deadlines.
16. Exceptional communication, time management and teamwork skills. Experience working as part of a small team an advantage.
17. Ability to work flexibly in an environment that features tight deadlines and shifting schedules
18. Experience in the gaming industry is an advantage
Salary
£37,300.00 - £65,300 per year.
