Job Description Summary Reporting to the Senior Commodity Buyer, the Lead Sourcing Specialist is a key strategic contributor within the Regional Sourcing team. You will leverage your technical and commercial expertise to define supplier and category strategies, optimize supplier panels, and lead complex contract negotiations. Acting as the lead interface for sourcing activities, you will balance independent decision-making with cross-functional coordination to deliver measurable impact on regional projects Job Description Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management: Supplier Strategy: Define and implement robust, long-term supplier strategies. Lead the optimization of supplier panels to enhance performance, quality, and market competitiveness. Negotiation Leadership: Act as the lead negotiator for complex commercial agreements. Allocate business needs to specific suppliers based on technical capability, performance history, and cost-competitiveness. Commercial Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including contract terms (LTA, Warranty, etc.), claim management, and data-driven analysis to support informed decision-making. Market Intelligence: Map supplier markets to share actionable insights on market trends and best practices across the organization. Collaboration & Internal Stakeholder Management: Customer-Centric Interface: Serve as the primary procurement interface for internal business units (e.g., Engineering, Bid Teams, Manufacturing, Construction). Ensure sourcing activities align with project demands and deliver tangible value to internal stakeholders. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate across teams to resolve complex issues using established procedures. Exercise professional judgment to navigate non-standard scenarios, consulting with senior leadership when parameters are exceeded. Technical Communication: Exchange technical and commercial information effectively with internal and external partners, ensuring deep understanding and alignment on project goals. Operational Excellence & Governance: Continuous Improvement: Execute sourcing initiatives, including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects, to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and eliminate supply chain inefficiencies. Compliance & Data Integrity: Ensure all activities adhere to internal governance and procurement policies. Maintain high standards of data accuracy through diligent input and verification of procurement information. Required Qualifications: Desirable Academic Background: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications) or Business Administration. Professional Expertise: A proven track record in procurement or sourcing, with deep expertise in global sourcing strategy, complex contract negotiation, and strategic Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). Desirable Professional Certification: MCIPS qualified (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply). Commercial Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing the end-to-end commercial lifecycle. Expert at translating complex technical requirements into robust contractual terms. Proven ability to facilitate multi-party negotiations, resolve high-value commercial disputes, and lead claim management processes while balancing cost competitiveness, delivery reliability, and stakeholder expectations. Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of data analysis and commercial modelling, ability to execute Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses that drive competitive advantage. Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead and negotiate effectively across cross-functional, multi-national teams and at all levels of the organization.
