The Courtyard By Marriott, Keele are looking for a Kitchen Porter who is enthusiastic and service minded to be part of our kitchen team.
As a kitchen porter you will provide key support to the chefs and the restaurant team to help ensure the smooth running of our kitchen and restaurant service.
Your primary duties as a kitchen porter are to ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible and that the chefs have the tools and equipment they need during service.
You should be a great team player with the ability to work efficiently and enthusiastically and a methodical approach to tasks is essential.

Main duties:
* Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
* Washing and drying dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils
* Ensuring excellent cleaning standards are maintained
* Cleaning areas around the kitchen as required to company standards
* Assist with washing and drying of cloths and aprons
* Work in a fast paced environment where organisation is essential
* Ensure effective communication between Head Chef, chefs in the team and front of house team

The Kitchen Porter will be required to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays. In the event of staff shortages, be prepared to assist in other areas.
