Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and well‑motivated Music Therapist to deliver Music Therapy to designated patient groups across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This post will provide input to a variety of groups in line with the service area priorities as identified by the Head of Arts Therapy and supported by the Director of Allied Health Professions. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, maintain and cascade Music Therapy clinical standards in line with current evidence‑based best practice.
* Develop a competency‑based framework for practitioners working within the specialist area.
* Critically analyse, appraise and synthesise current research outcomes and/or relevant literature to maintain expert levels of knowledge and practice.
* Establish working partnerships with voluntary, third‑sector services as appropriate.
* Actively participate in developing services as part of a national and local clinical network.
* Develop care pathways, local clinical standards, guidelines and protocols informed by evidence for the specialist area.


Qualifications

Essential:

* Degree in Music Therapy or equivalent, plus short specialist courses, experience to post‑graduate equivalent diploma level.
* Master's level education or equivalent level of specialist knowledge and experience.

Desirable:

* Membership of the British Association of Music Therapy (BAMT).


Experience

Essential:

* Significant post‑graduate experience with demonstrable experience in a related clinical field, enabling the post holder to carry a specialist caseload. Experience of contributing to service development and implementing service changes.
* Understanding of supervision and delegation principles.

Desirable:

* Broad range of experience within community music settings.

Salary: £48,527 to £55,532 per annum pro rata
Contract: Permanent
