We are currently recruiting for an evening Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly and established team at Garsewednack Residential Home. We are committed to training, upskilling and offering opportunities for growth to all our team. Weekly hours are negotiable but will normally be evening shifts (5-9pm) with occasional weekend day cover.
We are looking for a highly professional and dedicated individual who has exceptional leadership skills, is committed to ensuring that our residents receive the very highest standards of care and support, with a genuine drive and ambition to make a positive difference to the lives of those who are living with dementia or in a care home setting.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with people with dementia and have a good understanding of the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and will support the Home Manager in ensuring that these requirements are achieved at all times. You will have demonstrable experience of leading a staff team, including supporting new staff through their induction, understanding staff rotas and ensuring the right resources are available. In the absence of the Home Manager, you will take on extra responsibilities within the home.

The successful candidate will receive full induction and any additional training needed under the support from the Home Manager and other senior staff.
