Job Overview
We’re searching for a warm, professional, and highly organised Hotel Receptionist to be the welcoming heart of Boath House. You’ll greet guests, manage check ins, handle phone calls and emails, and deliver exceptional service with a solution-driven, can-do spirit. If you’re passionate about weaving heritage with modern hospitality to create genuine connections, you’re the inspired individual we need to elevate our guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Guest Check-Ins & Check-Outs: Greet guests with genuine warmth, seamlessly process check-ins, verify bookings, and share the story of our rooms and grounds. Ensure smooth check-outs and accurate payment handling with a gracious touch.
* Phone & Email Management: Answer calls with a welcoming tone, addressing inquiries, bookings, and requests. Respond to emails promptly, blending professionalism with the charm of our heritage-inspired ethos.
* Guest Relations: Craft personalised, memorable experiences, anticipating needs with a friendly, proactive approach. Go above and beyond—nothing is too much trouble—to delight our guests.
* Organisation & Administration: Keep reservations precise, update booking systems, and manage daily logs with care. Partner with housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance to harmonise our operations.
* Upselling & Inspiration: Share the magic of our fine dining restaurant, Garden Kitchen, and wood-fired sauna, alongside local gems like Nairn Beach and Brodie Castle, to enrich every stay.
* Problem Resolution: Tackle concerns with a solution-driven mindset, resolving issues swiftly and thoughtfully, escalating to the General Manager when needed.
Qualifications
* Experience: Prior hospitality, reception, or customer service experience preferred, ideally in a luxury setting.
* Skills:
* Exceptional interpersonal charm: warm, personable, and professional.
* Strong organisational talent, with sharp attention to detail and a knack for multitasking.
* Strong verbal and written communication for phone and email engagement.
* Proficiency in hotel management software and basic Microsoft Office.
* Solution-Driven: Eager to solve challenges, turning obstacles into opportunities for guest delight.
* Above & Beyond: A heartfelt commitment to help guests, where no request is too grand or small.
