We are looking for a dynamic band 5 CWP to join our friendly team and support the delivery of low intensity interventions in the Community CAMHS services for children young people and in Hounslow.
Hounslow CCAMHS has a very well established and highly valued team of CWPs within it. You will be working under the supervision of a CWP supervisor and will play a key role in supporting band 4 Trainee CWPs.
Main duties of the job
In addition to holding your own Guided Self-Help caseload, you will also work alongside Psychologists, Family Therapists, and Admin staff as part of a multidisciplinary team where there will be opportunities to extend your clinical skills through joint working. You may also be involved in offering consultation/training to different professional groups. You will attend regular team and service meetings and will be able to develop a good understanding of how CAMHS services work.

Essential criteria
1. Children and Young People’s Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
2. Qualification from accredited training provider (BPS, BABCP Wellbeing practitioner registration; if not already registered, at least be eligible)
Desirable criteria
3. Psychology or other health /social care/youth related undergraduate degree
4. Other relevant postgraduate degree
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties
6. Demonstrates an understanding of common mental health problems experienced by children and young people
7. Understands why collecting feedback from children, young people and parents is important
8. Experience of MDT working Significant practice experience in relevant first profession.
9. Experience of working with children and adolescents in a mental health or equivalent settings.
10. Experience of multi-agency work.
11. Experience of working within a multicultural framework

12. Experience of working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. ASC, ADHD, Mild- moderate LD)
