SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time | Permanent | September StartAre you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? Do you have experience supporting children or young adults with complex needs, and are you ready to take the next step in your SEN career?We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school within a well-established and supportive trust, starting this September. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to become part of a close-knit team committed to providing outstanding education and care to students with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, medical conditions, sensory impairments, and learning difficulties.What Your Day Will Look Like:Each day brings new rewards and challenges. You’ll be supporting students aged 6 to 19 in a vibrant, therapeutic environment that places student well-being and progress at the heart of everything it does. Your work will involve:

* Providing 1:1 or small group support in both classroom and therapy-based settings.
* Assisting students with communication, personal care, and mobility where necessary.
* Using specialist strategies and resources such as PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables to aid understanding and participation.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised learning plans.

About You:We’re looking for someone who brings not just experience, but compassion, patience, and a proactive mindset. You will need:

* Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in a school or care setting.
* A calm and resilient approach, with excellent communication skills.
* Confidence in supporting students with medical or physical needs (training will be provided where needed).

Desirable (but not essential):

* Training in PECS, Makaton, Moving & Handling, Team Teach, or similar.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and positive behaviour support strategies.
