We are thrilled to be expanding our QS team and are looking to add an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor to our team
Job Purpose
Manage risk, control costs to ensure delivery of project on time to specification.
Principle duties and accountabilities
* Prepare and analyse tenders and contract documents.
* Negotiate ongoing contracts with suppliers and customers.
* Management and reporting of supplier contracts and terms.
* Provide governance on contract approval and execution to ensure deals are closed appropriately.
* Present detailed information on the cost of work on a periodic basis.
* Liaison across all teams in relation to preconstruction feasibility/viability.
* Allocate work to subcontractors.
* Manage the cost of works to ensure that the budget is not exceeded.
* Arrange payments as agreed throughout and at the completion of work.
* Value all completed work and arrange payments accordingly.
* Provide advice on any contractual claims should they arise.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
* Ideally a minimum of 5-7 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential sector.
* Natural leader of people with excellent managerial and motivational skills.
* Proven experience within residential development.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Excellent client relationship skills.
* Ability to communicate at all levels and to build effective networks.
* Experience of reporting to Board and presenting complex information in an accessible manner.
* Excellent computer literacy inclusive of excel.
* Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
