The Bradgate Mental Health Unit is an acute admission facility comprising seven wards, providing care in a fast-paced environment to patients with complex mental health conditions and physical co-morbidities.

About you:

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Nurse at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit, you will:
Deliver evidence-based, person-centred care to all service users on the ward.
Take charge of shifts, including delegating responsibilities, coordinating tasks, and prioritising workloads.
Maintain your professional registration and mandatory training, and engage in clinical supervision.
Assess and review patient care, develop and implement care plans, and work collaboratively with families and carers.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, healthcare support workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and dieticians.
Manage the administration of medications in line with policy and procedures.
Maintain accurate and confidential care records, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.Take a proactive approach to improving patient care, escalating incidents, and addressing concerns or complaints.
Build strong therapeutic relationships with service users, underpinned by open and effective communication.
