Role summary: We are looking for an experienced HR professional to deliver high-quality, proactive support across DBD. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies, best practice, and current employment legislation. You will play a key role in shaping a positive employee experience, driving continuous improvement across the full employment lifecycle, and supporting leaders to effectively manage and develop their teams. What you will be doing: Develop, implement, and continuously improve HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with evolving employment legislation and clear internal communication Review and enhance the end-to-end employee lifecycle, identifying opportunities to improve engagement, experience, and retention Lead on learning and development initiatives, ensuring our people have the skills and support needed to succeed Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employment law, and best practice across areas such as recruitment, disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations Manage complex employee relations cases and investigations with professionalism, fairness, and consistency Drive performance management processes and continuous improvement, including ownership of platforms Conduct market benchmarking to inform salary reviews, ensuring our reward and benefits offering remains competitive and aligned with employee needs Formal qualifications or training: Proven experience in a HR role, operating at both strategic and operational levels Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Confident advising on complex employee relations matters and managing sensitive situations Experience in developing and improving HR processes, systems, and policies Ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified (or working towards) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Make a Difference with DBD: At DBD, we know you're looking for more than just a job - you aspire to make a real impact in the nuclear industry.
