IBD Clinical Trials Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for 2 Band 5 Clinical Trials Managers to join our Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Research team. The successful candidates will join our dedicated Integrated IBD Team and work under direct supervision of the Chief Investigator and a senior Trials Manager. HUTH has a case load of approximately 4,800 patients with IBD across three hospital sites.
Job responsibilities
* Set‑up, management and coordination of specific IBD research projects at multiple sites across the UK and abroad.
* Generate and coordinate grant bids, obtain regulatory approvals and ensure timely set‑up and delivery of IBD portfolio studies.
* Overall trial management, liaison with sites, site communication of studies and site initiation visits.
* Ensure regulatory documentation and up‑to‑date tracking and monitoring of recruitment.
* Devising and implementing tools for study success and providing coordination, support and administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will exercise initiative and judgment when dealing with site enquiries and requests, prioritise importance and work flexibly as a member of the Integrated IBD Specialist team. They will additionally provide overall trial management, liaise with sites, ensure regulatory documentation, conduct site initiation visits, track recruitment and implement study success tools.
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum qualification of Diploma level or equivalent.
* Advanced typing and excellent computer skills, experience in database management.
* ICH‑GCP certification and experience in research coordination activities.
* Experience in coordination and management of teams and understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
* Evidence of active participation in delivery of research trials, familiarity with clinical trial documentation, and ability to work autonomously or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Teaching skills and prior involvement in clinical trials and their set‑up are desirable.
