Overview
As the Outlet Trading Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the Branch Merchandiser to ensure that the outlets and digital channels maximise sales of terminal stock. You will work closely with the Next team and FF retail team, branch merching the outlet stores to ensure they have the right stock package, checking that stock is published online, assisting with markdowns and promotions in stores and online. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, analytical skills and a passion for retail.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Next team to ensure outlets have the right amount of stock across all key departments to meet current trading requirements and sales forecasts; take action as required.
* Coordinate with the FF retail team to ensure a joint approach between Next and FF for outlet stores.
* Roll up weekly and monthly terminal stock levels, read reports, and input into Excel. Assist the Branch Merchandiser with monthly finance meetings.
* Review large volume lines for clearance and ensure they are published on both digital websites; work with the Next team to resolve any issues.
* Input into the outlet activity plan.
* Aggregate markdown and promotion data to review with the Branch Merchandiser and communicate/actions accordingly.
* Manage any adhoc price changes with the outlets.
* Conduct weekly check-ins with the Next team and action as required.
* Collaborate with the Next Branch merch team to allocate and replenish outlet buys accordingly.
* Action 3rd party deals and stock donations including foundation and Next outlets.
* Assist with recall and inter-branch transfers from full-price stores.
Qualifications & Skills
* Analytical skills: Numerical ability and experience with Excel.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, able to engage with all levels.
* Organisational skills: Effective planning and self-organisation capabilities.
* Retail background: Experience in a retail environment is a plus; market insight into customer profiles, product ranges, and competitors.
* Tech Savvy: Proficient in Excel, reporting, and product lifecycle management systems.
* Team player: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
