Role overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Support Team Leader to join our team in Wareham. You would need to have a Full UK driving licence, however access to your own vehicle is not essential.
As a Support Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the service, with a strong focus on promoting the growth and independence of the people we support. Working closely with the Deputy Manager, you will lead by example — modelling best practice, and providing daily support, guidance, and clear direction to your team.
Responsibilities
* Support the smooth running of the service, promoting the growth of the people we support
* Work closely with the Registered Manager, demonstrating best practice
* Provide guidance and direction to colleagues/new starters
* Continuously review Max care plans, ensuring updates and progress are recorded
* Complete medication audits
* Order medication when needed
* Be on call (on a rota basis)
* Manage staff spot checks
Hours
8am – 4pm or 4pm – 10pm. You would be required to work alternate weekends and complete sleep-ins.
Qualifications and requirements
* Level 2 Social Care (or equivalent)
* Experience with Autism and working with challenging behaviour
* Effective communication with colleagues and other professionals
* Administration and good organisational skills
* Able to work flexible hours including sleep-ins and on-call shifts
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* A full UK driving licence and access to a car
