The Role
As a Senior Planning Lawyer, you will advise on high-profile projects across the UK, working with clients in residential, commercial, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. Your responsibilities include:
* Providing strategic advice on large-scale developments and significant infrastructure projects.
* Drafting and negotiating complex planning and highway agreements.
* Managing compulsory purchase orders and guiding compensation issues.
* Advising on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRAs), and other regulatory matters.
* Supporting judicial reviews, appeals, and planning inquiries.
* Collaborating across departments for integrated legal solutions.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Be a qualified solicitor with 4+ PQE in Planning Law.
* Have experience with relevant legislation (e.g., Town & Country Planning Act).
* Possess a strong track record in compulsory acquisitions, compensation claims, EIAs/HRA, and judicial reviews.
* Demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Be proactive, solutions-oriented, and client-focused.
