About the Role
You will translate strategic aims into actionable business architectures, ensuring alignment between operating models, customer journeys, investment decisions, risk considerations, and transition states.
You will collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, engineering teams, and Solution Architects to ensure designs are coherent, traceable, and support long‑term capability evolution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Business Design
1. Develop and maintain business architecture artefacts such as capability maps, journey frameworks, operating models, value stream models, and process architectures.
2. Shape strategic options and advise on how business capabilities evolve through transition states.
3. Ensure architecture aligns to strategic outcomes and target state designs.
4. Work collaboratively with Solution Architects to maintain alignment between business and technology design.
Financial Modelling & Investment Planning
5. Build and interpret financial models to support business cases and prioritisation.
6. Provide analytical insights for investment planning, benefits modelling, and value assessments.
7. Collaborate with Finance, Portfolio, and Product teams to ensure decisions are informed and risk‑aware.
Risk Management & Governance
8. Identify business risks and regulatory considerations impacting journey design, operating models, and organisational change.
9. Ensure business designs comply with regulatory expectations and internal governance frameworks.
10. Partner with Risk teams to evaluate impacts across the Value Stream.
Customer Journey Frameworks & Journey Design
11. Design end‑to‑end customer journeys aligned with strategic outcomes and business capabilities.
12. Map and optimise journey variations, pain points, and operational considerations.
13. Work closely with UX, Operations, and Product to ensure journeys are viable, compliant, and measurable.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Value Stream Alignment
14. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and Product Owners.
15. Lead workshops, facilitate strategic dialogue, and express complex concepts visually through models.
16. Partner with cross‑domain architects to ensure traceability from strategy → design → solution → delivery.
Skills & Experience
Essential
17. Experience in business architecture, strategic design, business analysis, or enterprise design.
18. Strong capability in financial modelling, investment analysis, and option evaluation.
19. Understanding of risk management, regulatory considerations, and business control frameworks.
20. Proven Experience designing customer journeys and journey frameworks.
21. Skilled in modelling (, BPMN, capability modelling, value streams).
22. Strong communication and facilitation skills with technical and non‑technical audiences.
