Benoy’s London Studio is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Architect/Senior Architectural Designer to join them on a 6 month fixed-term basis. As a Senior Architect/Senior Architectural Designer, you will manage international large-scale projects in the mixed-use sector and aviation sector at multiple stages. What we’re looking for: You are a talented designer, with a portfolio that showcases great creativity and innovative thinking. You have experience in successfully delivering large-scale international projects though multiple design stages. You have experience managing small teams. You have strong organisational and supervisory skills, you have a proven ability to manage projects and people to deliver great results. You are a strong communicator, you can effectively engage internal and external stakeholders, through discussions, presentations and reports. You are highly proficient in computer applications commonly used within your discipline, such as Revit, Rhino and client presentation tools (Adobe Suite, Powerpoint ect.) You are degree-qualified in a related design field or hold equivalent certification; professional registration is preferred. Aviation experience desirable. Key Responsibilities Design/Technical Expertise Delivers high-quality design and/or technical work, engaging others with their creative and innovative thinking. Project Management Demonstrates a detailed understanding of the design process and project brief, coordinating the preparation of the project deliverables and other activities related to the project development. Takes responsibility for quality control and supervision of project deliverables. Coordinates and integrates the work of external contractors, suppliers and professionals. Team Management Role models Benoy’s values and contributes towards a collaborative environment in which innovation is encouraged and best practice shared. Ability to work effectively with others to develop and resolve project issues. Ability to make complex decisions, weighing up a range of factors and implications. Builds a network across the business and seeks leadership opportunities by directing and supporting junior team members. Client Relationships Develops effective relationships with clients and consultants. Operates independently in daily engagement with clients and stakeholders. Provides support to senior team members with key client presentations and represent Benoy in meetings as required. Budget Control Takes responsibility for aspects of the project budget and liaises with stakeholders to ensure delivery. Seeks to develop a working understanding of cost control, fee charging and project finance, and considers how project fees are maximised without threat to client relationship and repeat work.
