Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our Palliative Care and Therapies Department as a full time Occupational Therapist (Band 6). We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and pro-active Occupational Therapist with post graduate experience in a range of core specialities with an interest in palliative care. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical reasoning illustrating that you are able to identify an individual's functional impairments and implement appropriate evidence based intervention plans. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will also be expected to: Provide education to other AHPs to support them in meeting the needs of patients with palliative care needs. Provide direct support to relevant patients on the Supportive and Palliative Care caseload, for example in anxiety/fatigue management, palliative rehabilitation and support of patients and those who care for them in adapting to changes in function.
