Sports Science Graduate - Occupational Health Technician\n\nContract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)\n\nSalary: £26,325 per annum – This does not include overtime which can take earnings up to 33K per annum (calculated on an average of 8 – 9 hrs overtime per week)\n\nLocation: Southampton & Basingstoke areas\n\nAre you a recent graduate in Sports Science, or similar field, ready to put your passion for health and performance into action\n\nAt Medigold Health, we’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, proactive individuals to join our dynamic team as Occupational Health Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in a growing and rewarding industry.\n\nWhat Does the Role Involve\n\nAs an Occupational Health Technician, you’ll be part of a team that helps organisations look after the health and wellbeing of their employees. You'll work on-site in Southampton, with some travel to client sites, to deliver a variety of health assessments that support early detection of health issues and promote long-term wellbeing at work.\n\nYour day-to-day might include:\n\nCarrying out health surveillance tests such as: Audiometry (hearing tests) / Spirometry (lung function tests) / Skin prick allergy testing / Vision screening / Venepuncture (blood draws) – we’ll give you full training.\nPreparing and maintaining equipment to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.\nIdentifying results that need follow-up and escalating them to our clinical team.\nSupporting health promotion initiatives, like wellness events or wellbeing campaigns.\nHelping to improve processes, ensuring we keep our service efficient, effective, and patient-focused.\nCompleting clinical paperwork and updating health records accurately.\n\nNo two days are quite the same.
You’ll be working independently much of the time, so being confident, organised and self-motivated is key. Throughout your role, you’ll be supported by a friendly, experienced clinical team every step of the way.\n\nThis role is a great opportunity to get hands-on clinical experience, develop your skills, and build a solid foundation for a career in occupational health.\n\nWho We're Looking For\n\nThis role is perfect for you if you:\n\nHave a degree in Sports Science, Physiology, Health and Exercise Science, or a related field.\nAre a great communicator with excellent organisational skills.\nAre hands-on, motivated, and excited about improving health outcomes in the workplace.\nHave a full clean driving licence and access to a car.\nWant to build a career with purpose and progression.\n\nBonus points if you have experience as an EMT, Occupational Health Technician, or in Nursing, but it’s not essential.
