Health, Safety and Compliance Manager
Location: Manchester
College‑based role – 36 hours per week
Salary: £36,515–£40,236 per annum
Role Overview
Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for staff, students, visitors, and contractors, while managing the college’s soft facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure a safe environment for staff, students, visitors and contractors
* Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
* Take a reasonable, proportionate approach to risk management
* Promote risk awareness and a safety culture across the college
* Oversee soft facilities management, ensuring services meet operational standardsMonitor compliance with relevant legislation and college policies
About You
* Working towards the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
* Recognised Health and Safety qualifications
* Qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
* Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
* Experience in managing compliance and facilities in an educational or similar environment is desirable
