The ideal Design & Technology Teacher (Food Preparation & Nutrition) will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their culinary skills and understanding of healthy eating. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and effective Design & Technology Teacher (Food Preparation & Nutrition) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Food Preparation & Nutrition examinations. Develop students' practical cooking skills, knowledge of nutrition, and food science principles. Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback as a Design & Technology Teacher (Food Preparation & Nutrition). Contribute to the development of the Food Preparation & Nutrition curriculum and resources. Maintain a safe and hygienic food technology environment. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology, ideally with a focus on Food Preparation & Nutrition. Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4), with experience in Food Preparation & Nutrition. Strong practical cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition and food safety. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to inspire students in the area of Food Preparation & Nutrition.
