Job Description
Job Purpose:
An experienced Solution Architect with a strong understanding of business applications (SaaS & On-premises), integrations and technology. Your primary mission is to evaluate business demands, lead workshops, design options, and align outcomes with governance and strategic objectives.
Duties:
* Evaluate business demand submissions within their business process context for feasibility, architectural alignment, and strategic value.
* Architect, evaluate, and present multiple solution options to the Design Authority—ensuring they align with existing standards and platforms.
* Guide implementation by collaborating with IT delivery teams to ensure solution integrity and practical feasibility.
* Produce high-quality documentation including requirement summaries, solution proposals, and impact assessments.
* Maintain compliance with architectural governance, security, and industry regulations.
* Monitor emerging tech trends, especially low-code strategies, to advise on continuous process improvement and modernisation.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience Requires:
Essential:
* Proven experience in enterprise architecture or solution design roles.
* Deep understanding of business applications across both SaaS and on-premises environments.
* Skilled at translating business needs into robust technical requirements and solution architecture.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BCS Enterprise Architecture) and governance processes.
* Experience operating within large, complex IT environments with diverse application portfolios.
* In-depth Knowledge of Low-Code Platforms like Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Connectors and governance best practices.
Desirable:
* Experience with ERP’s, Engineering & Manufacturing Applications, BMC Helix, and similar enterprise systems
* Familiarity with integration patterns and middleware technologies (e.g., SAP Integration Suite, Sales Force Mulesoft)
* Experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors is a plus
* Experience with enterprise IT security and security design principles
* Experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and design principles
Qualifications
Desirable:
* TOGAF or similar architecture certification
* Business Analysis certification
