COEX Partners is an agency execution specialist. We provide multi-asset trade advisory and execution services across multiple asset classes. We support clients with intra-day market insights, flows, and quotes, alongside daily reports covering key metrics like trades, volatility, and open interest. Client orders and sourcing of market liquidity are handled with discretion and precision, ensuring full anonymity pre- and post-trade.
Role Overview
This is an entry level role on the COEX Partners Soft Commodities desk in London, in our offices beside London Victoria station. The successful person will receive on-the-job training and vast exposure to the fast-paced markets. This team executes exchange traded derivatives (primarily Options) on Coffee, Cocoa, Sugar, and Cotton for a diverse customer base of trade houses, hedge funds, banks, and volatility traders.
We are ideally looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual that can work autonomously and collaboratively in a small team and can think on their feet. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of highly experienced team and would be perfect for somebody looking to start their career in Financial Services, with the drive to become a successful broker.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide complete support to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk.
* Understand the underlying products being traded and keep up to date with knowledge of new products/procedures.
* Promote TP ICAP Group.
* Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.
* Give live quotes to traders through the messaging systems.
* Identify trade opportunities and calculate strategies.
* Provide trade details and prepare market reports to clients on a daily basis.
* Moving on to maintaining and developing existing client relationships and making contact with prospective new clients, where appropriate.
* Understand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape.
* Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with group policies.
Experience / Competences
Essential
* Interest in financial products, investment strategies and market dynamics.
* Able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team - either professionally, through sporting achievements or similar.
* Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
* Excellent attention to detail, can understand and translate data to a wide-ranging audience.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
* Critical problem-solving skills.
* High ethical standards and commitment to delivering for clients responsibly.
Desired
* Additional language skills would be advantageous, but not essential.
* Expected to pass relevant FCA and NFA regulatory exams promptly.
* Proficient in MS Excel and a solid understanding of using GPT models to enhance the business.
* Can easily build relationships and demonstrates ability to work effectively with others.
* Interest in both the macro and micro-economic landscapes.
* Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals.
