Responsibilities
* Lead the structural design of UAV airframes and subsystems, with a strong focus on composite materials.
* Develop 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies in SolidWorks.
* Perform structural analysis and finite element simulations to validate design integrity under static and dynamic loading conditions.
* Collaborate with cross functional engineers / aerodynamicists, and manufacturing teams to optimize structural layouts for performance and manufacturability.
* Generate design documentation, bills of materials (BOM), and support configuration management.
* Support prototyping, testing, and design iteration throughout the development lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, material specifications, and safety requirements.
Profile and Requirements
* Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in structural design of composite materials for aerospace applications (preferably UAVs).
* Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (CAD, assemblies, surfacing, and drafting). Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, load paths and material behaviors in composites.
* Experience with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar). Familiarity with manufacturing processes for composites (lay-up, infusion, autoclave, etc.).
* Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
