About the role At the Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) Rolls-Royce make critical turbine blades that go into their world-leading jet engines. It means theyre at the cutting-edge of casting and automated technology. So, forget what you think you know about factory environments this is a high-tech, modern space youll enjoy being in every day. A casting process is used and youll be fully trained to do many of the tasks that this involves. So, you dont need direct experience or to be in the engineering industry. Maybe you work in a role thats all about following processes. Or youre someone who is used to using apps and tech. All these skills are really valuable. Whats most important is you are ready to learn, can follow detailed instructions, and work well in a team. Youll get full support and expert training and there may be the opportunity for your role to become permanent. As an Operations Team Member, you will: Follow technical instructions and operate high-tech robotic machinery Craft patterns in wax ready for casting Measure and check blades to ensure they reach our high standards Gather data using digital apps Contribute to production plans Help us find ways to improve our processes and reduce costs Theres a lot of attention to detail involved, but theres also plenty of variety in what you do each day and a great sense of achievement at the end of it.
