Work Eligibility

Key Responsibilities
* Professional and strategic governance responsibilities including clinical, financial and staff governance arrangements for all Allied Health Professional services delivered by those working in the partnership to ensure that the quality of services and care provided is optimised.
* As a member of the H&SCP Senior Leadership Team, play an active role in contributing to the strategic direction of the partnership.
* Work collaboratively with the Chief Officer, NHS Lothian AHP Director and other Chief AHPs, Clinical Leads, Chief Nurse, Chief Social Worker and Service Managers to support and develop corporate objectives.
* Directly manage the Clinical Leads for Physiotherapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT) Services within East Lothian’s H&SCP and NHS Lothian’s Mental Health Physiotherapy Clinical Lead (pan‑Lothian service hosted within ELH&SCP).
* Provide expert AHP advice to ensure delivery of high level, safe and effective care whilst ensuring compliance to AHP policy, guidelines and standards of professional practice and conduct.
* Deputise for Chief Officer and for AHP Director as appropriate.
Requirements
* Post holder must have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult) an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland.
