Job Description Aramark is currently recruiting an experienced Sous Chef based on one of our client sites. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in ensuring consistently high standards of food delivery and kitchen management across all sections of the onsite operation. This role is predominately Monday - Friday shifts with occasional weekend work (shared amongst the team), Free car parking, uniform provided, meals on duty, 20 days annual leave (plus 8 additional leave days). Job Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen operation Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service Oversee food preparation and service across all sections of the kitchen Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and food innovation in line with client expectations Lead, motivate, and develop kitchen teams, ensuring effective training and supervision Monitor food costs, portion control, and minimise waste Ensure compliance with Aramark policies, procedures, and health & safety standards Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef Qualifications Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen best practices Ability to manage multiple sections in a fast-paced environment Excellent leadership and communication skills Passion for food quality and service excellence Flexible and adaptable approach to work
