We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Science Technician to join our dynamic science department as soon as possible. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by managing and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing practical lessons, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and providing technical support to teachers and students. The successful applicant will: • Technical expertise: Experience in preparing and maintaining science apparatus, solutions, and materials for lessons and assessments. • Health and safety knowledge: Familiarity with regulations and best practices, including CLEAPSS guidance, and the ability to ensure safe laboratory practices. • Organisational skills: Ability to manage requisitions, stock, budgets, and records effectively. • Leadership and teamwork: Experience training and directing staff, with strong communication and collaboration skills. • Problem-solving skills: Confidence in repairing, maintaining, and adapting equipment and resources. • Flexibility and initiative: Adaptable to support special events, manage varied tasks, and stay updated with developments in science education.
