Join to apply for the Senior Healthcare Support Worker role at NHS Scotland. The Eye Centre is a bespoke, purpose‑built centre that integrates Ophthalmology Outpatient Clinics, pre‑ and post‑operative areas, and operating theatres. The new unit aims to ensure a high level of quality and provision of elective cataract services to meet the demands of an ageing population.
Responsibilities
* Perform clinical and non‑clinical duties as delegated by Charge Nurses and Registered Nurses in a busy ophthalmology department.
* Work across pre‑operative, post‑operative, and theatre areas as part of a rotating schedule.
* Achieve mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience within a healthcare environment is desirable.
* Expected to work towards completion of the SVQ 3 programme.
* Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills and genuine interest in ophthalmology.
Support and Training
The Eye Centre Clinical Education and Nurse Management Team will support the successful candidate to achieve all aspects of the role requirements.
